Senator Johnson, I am totally miffed by your vote on the homeland security bill that allows the military to detain, arrest American citizens without charges. Really why would you vote for something that is so unconstitutional? I don't get it and neither does our tea party group. I am concerned and confused that you would do such a thing. What am I missing here. I really would appreciate an explanation.

Thank you for voting "nay" today. Your sound fiscal principles are a little bright spot in this horrible debt deal. It is insanity that someone with your knowledge is now being held out of the "Super Congress" because of your vote. That is so unconstitutional in and of itself. The right to speak is being denied you because you spoke your principles. Evil is what I sense in DC.

The digital TV that the government stuck us with sucks bad enough, now they want to take our local stations away from us. NO WAY you need to get this corrected. I want my analog tv back the government can keep the digital break junk back. Joel

Here is another question for Ron, Why are we still paying taxes on our savings accounts when there is no money to be made on them anyway. The banks don't need our money because they already have it when the government stupidly bailed them out. This the reason they only pay under 1per cent for our savings. When you have to pay tax on that little bit of money you have pretty much nothing left of the interest.

I don't know if this just lands on deaf ears. I am 67 years old and I pay taxes as if I were working. I feel this is totally wrong and am tired of not be able to do and buy the things I would like to have. My taxes to me are insanely high, my house tax is crazy high and I am sick and tired of paying high taxes every three months to the state and to the federal government. All they know how do with this money is Piss it away on trying to police the world, its time to get out of these stupid wars and take charge of our own country. Secure the borders and don't let the riff raff into the country.

Simple impose a Proposition 25, State of California Legislators receive no paychecks (and cannot recoup "lost wages") because they failed to produce a Balanced Budget. THAT is one State Law that should be imposed on all Members of Congress..over 790 days and the Democrats still have no Budget.

We need a new rule for the Senate: No budge = no paycheck

Thank you for taking a stand on the debt ceiling negotiations. I'm tired of "stuff" happening behind closed doors when we are supposed to have a government open to the people (as well as FOR the people and not the politicians)!
