Immigration
Cy Hopkins Posted 2 weeks ago
Senator Boxer,

I have been an active Democrat supporter from the time I have had the right to vote. The immigration issue has caused me quite a bit of time to think through and come to a conclusion. Here's my issue: I don't think the solution is as simple as calling the Arizona law wrong and blaming the Arizona legislators for doing something wrong. I recently talked to a Army Reserve officer who is going to be deployed to Afghanistan on his second tour. He is a police officer in Arizona when not serving our Country. He shared with me several facts about enforcing the new law and never did he say it was wrong. He spoke of his pride in serving our Nation and he said specifically that the law was a already adopted Federal law. I find it hard to endorse a fight against this when it is only a act to enforce what is on the books written by our US legislators. It isn't logical and another example of the way our Government passes laws either not to be enforced or not well thought out. What is wrong with our Government?

I am hoping you can clearly and without the political-speak clear up the issue of enforcing the law in Arizona for me.

Fiscal Responsibility

Why can't you congressional members balance a budget. When your personal budget gets out of whack you give yourself a raise - we can't do that - Balance the Budget now!!! No more excuses!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly. I have had to make many changes in my life to accommodate the changes necessitated by this recessionary period. Yet--government keeps spending wastefully. I want to see government balance the budget and eliminate the wasteful spending!!

The flow of the river has completely reversed. Used to be you went to corporations for fat pay checks and lifelong benefits and employment. NOW .OUR US GOVERNMENT is the place to go for that. Just plain wrong...

Senetor Boxer,
What are you and other members of the Senate doing about JOBS? The national conversation has been hijacked by extreme right-wing ideologues and is way off base of what the American people are concerned about. Please help bring the conversation back to JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. That's what people are really concerned with - and not cutting SS, Medicare and Medicaid.

Miss "call me senator" Boxer.
Shame on you for taking a position that women don't have the brains to make their on decision about voting. There are lots of us women who wouldn't think twice about NOT voting for you. You always put a wedge between people with your commentsl

I am a college student who is concerned about the future of America. As a Senator, you must have an idea what the future will look like.

What should I an people my age expect for the future of America?

Hey, this is the person in the video. Just wanted to say that I, overall, tend to support Boxer's positions. That's why I chose to ask her.

Me too in general but really, like you said in the video I think we all have the right to ask out representatives what they are doing to address the issues facing our nation. I like your question.

Seniors & Social Security
Rick Naylor Posted 6 months ago
Sen when are you people going to stop referring to Social Security(SS) as an entitlement!! We pay takes for both medicare and SS taxes as part of our pay each paycheck!! You spend it like it was monopoly money. There is suppose to be a Trust Fund, and the full faith an credit of the US Gov. We you guys have destroyed that and have gone as far as saying "No Problem, Let our Credit Rating go to hell, it does not mean a think. Well it does mean something to Americans who work for their money and get shit on for not being rich enough not to need to borrow. Get to work or we will VOTE YOU OUT !!!

Article 18 of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights declares "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion;" Senator Boxer will you publically stand with President Obama, and Speaker of the House Boehner, for the release and asylum of Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani and his family?

I want to know why the Democrats have continued to try and negotiate with the Tea Party when they obviously don't want to work together. As a progressive, I want to know why we don't have single-payer health care and why the lame duck Congress didn't raise taxes on the wealthiest. You are always railing against the conservative agenda, but you always vote FOR it.

The Tea Party is not a political wing of the process like the left seems to think but a bunch of US citizens that got together under various causes just like the liberals have done for years so why are all the progressives so worried about them when it has been accumulative progressive policy's from the left and right that has placed the US in the debacle it is in to date, The conservatives do not want to destroy SS or Medicare but what they do want to do is make them off limits to congress for raiding there coffers , to make them more efficient without all the waste and fraud,

Single payer health systems for a country as large as the US will not work those with money will still get there care and those without will get less care then they have now with longer waits and less chance of receiving the specialized surgery's and other specialized care, its been proven to happen just look in depth at any and all Gov. run Health care, certain stifling regulations and the lack of the free market are what is driving the health care cost up and the quality of care down if people could only see.

When are your fellow democrats going to wake up and realize that overspending and the EPA regulations that YOU support are killing this State and this country, not to mention the unsustainable entitlement programs. Stop the madness !!!

Stephanie Clark Posted 9 months ago
Specifically what entitlement programs do you disagree with? Have you saved enough to not want your social security? Have your parents? I hope you never become sick or unemployed and loose your health insurance. What part of the EPA do you want to cut? And by how much? Do you even know that Nixon created the EPA? Last but not least, if cutting taxes creates jobs, why did Bush only increase jobs by 1% (according to the BLS). STOP listening to FOX news and repeating their BS. Educate yourself! Take control of your own politics
