Why isn't someone taking Obama to court over changing laws without the legal authority to do so ie Obamacare. I hear people all the time on the news talkng about him overstepping his constitutional authority but no one is willing to do something about it. We allow him to continue with Harry Reid as his sidekick and do nothing

What better way to get rid of that nightmare called ObamaDontCare (ACA) than declare it as NOT signed by legal President?
Since it is proven that Obama is NOT eligible to be President, then everything he has signed into law is NOT a law... Including ObamaDontCare.

Why did you not vote for or against Bill (S. 3576 )? Represent your state and your country, thats why you were elected.

Rod,
We should not have to wait to vote them out. The damage is being done now and we need courageous people to step forth and take charge no matter what the result.

It has been awhile since I posted my last comment. At that time I wondered if anyone would really care what "We the People" felt like. Well, now I know.....they don't. Our actions domestically and internationally are a disaster and our nation is dying! It feels good to vent and to comment on all the articles that I read but no one hears and nothing ever gets done. It's too bad that a whole generation of great citizens, after working so hard to get where we are, are just left to wither away.

As I go from site to site on TellDC there are some very good questions but I wonder if any of you read other comments and realize just how much anger, frusration and fear that we the people have right now? Washington has put themselves out of reach. They have done so much to seperate what they have from what we have that there seems to be no concern for us anymore,no urgency. So many unconstitutional things going on and no one to stand up for us. Can we depend on you? or is it always just talk!

This is an afternote to a comment I made 1 year ago. To Jon...What good is a voice if no one ever responds?

Don't limit yourself to TellDC; write (email) directly to your representatives. If they don't listen, vote them out. I am planning to vote some long time career politicians out of office come this fall.

Mary-- thank you for your insightful comment. This points out what I believe to be the most valuable aspect of TellDC-- it gives voice to the heretofore 'silent majority'-- the huge numbers of people in this country who up until now weren't being heard, or for that matter well represented in Congress. The old 'vote and hope' approach just isn't cutting it anymore; and the 'average' person has no chance against huge special interests and well funded lobbyists. But this site seems to me to be a place where the 'real' voice of America can be heard.

I read them! I agree with you and am asking questions and also agreeing with other posts I think are good. It's time for the American people to get active and force accountability.

Senator DeMint. I am not a constituent but am a big supporter of what you are trying to get done in Washington. This program essentially allows states like California to nationalize their debts. The program is set to sunset in 2011 but I understand that there is support in Congress for making the program permanent and that it may be taken up during the lame duck session. This is
outrageous and I would like to know what you can do to stop this effort. Senator, if you think people were outraged about the stimulus and Obamacare, wait until people realize that this is an attempt to bail out the fiscal lunatics in Sacramento and Albany.
