Isn't it interesting when Geitner, the president, economists, refer to debt ceiling default those who they say will not get paid are seniors/retirees, Medicare and Medicaid recipients. These are those who have paid for their representatives benefits for years through taxes. Let us hear from our representatives that they will not get paid , their staff and the executive branch of government and their appointees give up their pay. Seems they are putting themselves above the American public.
