How can you, or any politician at the national level, claim to be public servants when you make more money and enjoy better benefits than the vast majority of your constituency? "Servant" implies sacrifice and giving, yet that is not what politicians do. I believe that the national averages, based on all Americans, should be the maximum that politicians should make, so they are on par with the rest of America. Your benefits should be paid for out of your pay as well. Then maybe we can have politicians who enter politics for love of country, not enrichment. Your thoughts?
