My husband and I ar we transplants to Winamac In. from Phoemix, Az. We were transfered to Chicago, but didn't want to live in Ill. as we heard taxes were outrageous in Obama land. Thus we bought a 14 acre little mini farm in Winamac. We are team commercial truck drivers so we only have to commute once a week. I want to know why my state and county tax liability is more than Three times what it was in Maricopa county in Phoenix,Az. Pulaski county has horrible roads, tons of able bodied people on government assistance and not even a walmart. My tax liability was 10 thousand dollars. Why?

Dear Congresman Donnelly,
Politicians are considering limiting or doing away with Police, Firefighter, Teacher, and other pensions. My questions to you and politicians in generally:
1. Why not cut your salary 30%?
2. Why not make it mandatory for a politician to contribute to his/her pension the same way a public servant as the above mentioned do?
3. Why not have a politician vested for 20 years or 5 terms until they become eligible for a pension?
I am looking forward to your response.

All Federal workers, including members and staffs of Congress, should have the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) as their retirement plan. Congrressional members already have the Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB) plan. All public servants should be entitled to both FERS and FEHB.
