what is the total cost to the American taxpayer for section 8 housing? DC keeps talking about cutting payments to medicare by 30%. People that get medicare, pay premiums every money plus when they were working was taxed for it. East of where I live the is a sub-div of around 8000 houses some of them sold for over $200,000, 40% of these houses are section 8. why are the American people paying rent for someone to live in a house worth more than the house they live in that they worked and payed for. Why can't section 8 people live in an apartment that would cost the American taxpayer much less

The reason is, it's a GOVERNMENT program and if they are involved, it's all screwed up. Why save money when it isn't yours in the first place.

Recently John Cornyn asked Janet Napolitano for an estimate of time and efforts needed to secure the Texas/Mexico border. She was unable to give a clear answer which leads me to believe that securing our border is not a priority for Homeland Security. What are you doing in DC to represent Texan's concerns for border security? Are you working with Governor Perry to address this issue?

Why is Rick Perry giving Texas roads to private foreign corporations? This is a sign that he's very much involved in the international conspiracy (Bilderberg group.) He has also privatized TxU, handing it off to global investment firms and private control heavily involved in the Bilderberg group. $45 billion TxU buyout is now unfolding in scandal. Rick Perry was involved in facilitating the buyout fast tracking the permitting process for TxU's 11-plant expansion through an executive order slashing the time frame in half to six months. His accessibility to globalist firms is clear to me....

I read in the news today that there is a possibility that the "detainees" (Terrorists) will be brought into the Continental United States when Guantanamo Bay is closed. I won't get into how I feel about the closing but I do want a promise from you. Will you promise me that if the Guantanamo inmates are imported to these United States they will not step foot in Texas but will go to that corrupt State of Illinois where the crooks and political con-men should make them feel right at home!

I have followed you for quite a while and admire your treatment of people both within and outside of your district. I believe you are an honest man who cares about the people you serve. I would like for you to help me and others understand why you are letting the Democratic Leadership and majority bully you around.

I propose you use this site to post questions on some of the most out-of-touch Congressional Members so we the "regular citizens" can understand and support your efforts to bring about solutions.

Is there a rule up there in Washington DC that says you can't call someone out and let the people of the Country join with you in the process?

You know Dr. Brinson, this proposal can go both ways. I think the Democratics are doing a good job with the mess they inherited. I would like to see exchanges too but you might not like the results. If it's true that the Republicans have all of these great ideas, why don't we see them posted around online or talked about in the media?

Bring it on! It really would be the best thing for our Country. The two sides who both keep blaming the other for the problems and we get to decide who is really causing the problem. I don't trust either but I do trust myself to decide. I pray it happens.
